http://project.hau.gr

The Hellenic American Union Center of Excellence in Project Management and Business Management Consultants are organizing the 5th International Athens Conference on Project Management Best Practices - Lean & Green Project Management. The conference will be held in Athens at the Hellenic American Union Conference Center on June 14, from 8:30 to 18:00.

This conference brings together practitioners and lean and green experts from both local and foreign organizations to present practices and examples of how you can leverage green and lean to save money and increase value for your customers, suppliers and society at large.

Like project management, lean management can accelerate the project life cycle, add value to the end product and ensure flexibility and customer satisfaction. Many large organizations are now working to deliver sustainable products and/or projects that are made through environmentally friendly technologies or "green" processes and technologies. Can these efforts be leveraged for the benefit of business and society?

The conference focuses on the key subject areas of cost and value, sustainability perspective, short and long term benefits of lean and green project management initiatives, tools, techniques and best practices shown through case studies and real life examples.

We are gearing this conference to project managers and middle -to senior-level executives who are involved in project design and implementation, as well as senior level executives who are involved in strategic developments, R&D, operations, supply and chain management, quality, environmental affairs and corporate responsibility and corporate/cultural developments. University faculty, students, consultants and environmental specialists are also invited.

The conference awards 8 PDUs to certified professionals (PMPs) by the Project Management Institute-USA. The conference is supported by PM Greece (The network of project managers in Greece), and the ISACA Athens Chapter.

Mr. Spyros Kouvelis, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will open the conference.
