Is EuroCharity a NGO or charity?
No, EuroCharity is a unique social entrepreneurship model in Europe and operates as a for-profit, social venture. Headquartered in Athens, EuroCharity's mission is to be Europe's largest privately-run communications and networking platform specialised in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Sustainable and Responsible Investing, and the Green Economy.
As a social venture, EuroCharity: 1) channels part of its annual pre-tax earnings to help finance non-profit projects that are being proposed, managed and implemented by EuroCharity's NGO Free and NGO Premium members (to date, 12 projects have been funded in 6 years' time); 2) providesfree-of-charge portal space (micro sites) inside the popular on-line NGO Directory to more than 300 NGOs and organisations in order to increase their exposure to their stakeholders, both locally and globally; 3) re-invests most of its earnings back into its social venture in order to fund its activities as a business and catalyst for change.
For these and other reasons, EuroCharity uses the word "Charity" in its corporate name and identity. The word "Euro" was connected to the word "Charity" due to the fact that EuroCharity owns and operates a European portal and reference point for CSR and the Green Economy, but also because the social venture initially started out with a focus on the European market. Today, the EuroCharity Yearbook, EuroCharity portals and international events that EuroCharity participates in and pro-actively supports have a global readership, world-wide audience, and delegates from four continents, respectively.
In addition, for every euro that EuroCharity earns per annum, part of it is donated to specific charitable projects at the end of each fiscal year. Learn more about EuroCharity's Mission & Values by clicking here.
How do I become a member of EuroCharity?
If you are a corporation, non-profit organisation, think tank, public authority, professional body, non-governmental organisation, university, entrepreneur or foundation, you may join EuroCharity as a member. If you choose to benefit from EuroCharity's services (see our "Services" page), you may wish to compare the various membership packages (see our "Members" section). Simply select the Directory of your preference (CSR, Green Economy, NGO, Soceity) and then click on the grey "Compare Subscriptions" button to view the benefits of each subscription (membership) package and the annual subscription (membership) fee. Once you have decided which package suits you best, then click on the red button that says "Become a Member" and complete the membership form. Once this form has been completed, click on the red "Subscribe" button and a message will immediately be sent to EuroCharity by E-mail with your contact details and membership request. A EuroCharity representative will then get in touch with you as soon as possible in order to send you a draft membership contract as well as all the terms and conditions of becoming a member of EuroCharity. Once this contract has been approved by you and signed by both parties, your membership registration will commence from the contract date and last for one calendar year.
