The "Siblings Society of Persons with Mental Health difficulties" was founded in 2008. It is included in the registry of private non-profit organisations that deliver social welfare services. It consists of 100 regular members who all share the same purpose.

- To support the siblings of persons with mental health difficulties
- To create information and communication networks for its members
- To improve the living conditions of patients in public and private psychiatric hospitals and other mental health units
- To reinforce and support the process of de-institutionalisation in Greece
- To organise activities that promote mental health
- To improve and bring change in mental health attitudes in the greek public regarding stigma
- Educational conferences: Speakers with different specialties discuss mental health issues with the public
- Organisation of private support psychotherapy group exclusively for the siblings of persons with mental health difficulties
- Events that energise the public around mental health in collaboration with other mental health organisations or local goverment units aiming to promote mental health
- Mental Health Campaings that inform and educate the siblings and the families of persons with mental health difficulties
- Mental health advocacy supporting the rights of mental health users, their families and offer practical support to matters of concern to them.
